I've never tried it. My friend worked at a restaurant that served supposedly *amazing* bread pudding, but she told me they they threw everyone's scraps of bread into the bucket to make it. So, if you didn't finish the bread from your sandwich - into the bucket! Bucket of bread only got half eaten - into the bucket! Didn't matter if it was half eaten or not.
