I'm on the fence about it. I'm on my 16th week (15w3d) and I noticed that I started "showing" last weekend when getting ready to go to the movies. I, like many here, don't mind it coming from family members. Obviously they're very excited. However, it's so-so with co-workers. There are 4 of us that are pregnant about a month or so away from each other. So there are lot of people that know. Some don't comment at all about the bump and just ask how I'm doing but then there are those that say, "Oooh you're getting bigger". There's another woman at my school who is also pregnant and due 9 days before me. She was VERY petite to start (and very thin), and I'm 5/7 and about 150 lbs pre-preg.</p> <p>And yet, the Chinese language teacher kept pointing out (on a weekly basis, I swear to god), that even though I'm 9 days "behind", I'm bigger. I probably wouldn't mind them if I personally felt better about my pregnant body.</p> <p>The most irritating comment was just the other day though, I have a friend who is much taller and thinner than me normally, but she is pregnant and about 5 weeks behind me. We went out to dinner with a group and our friend looked at me then looked at her and said "how far behind you is she in pregnancy", I said 5 weeks, and they said "doesn't look like it" clearly implying she is much much smaller than me, which is true and obvious and so not helpful.
