Flips are fine now that she's bigger. I love the Flip organic inserts (used them in 4.0s mainly), but GMD prefolds are amazing too! I think the prefolds are definitely better in the beginning. I did have an issue right after purchase where some stitching came undone, but Cotton Babies has a fantastic all inclusive 1 year warranty and replaced the few items with issues and even paid my shipping. Ours have been in heavy rotation and washed daily (we have 4 daypacks for 2 kids) and have held up well so far. We use the stay dry inserts and I like that they aren't really much thicker than a disposable, so they stay nice and trim. It's less fabric in the washing machine too, which was a factor in our house, with two in diapers. We don't have leaking trouble unless the diaper is saturated (which isn't really a leak in my book).</p> <p>One of my good friend uses Thirsties and prefolds on her daughter, and has also been happy with that. After just a few months the elastic on my flips relaxed really bad, so I don't trust them as much any more. It doesn't hold up at all (comes unstitched). </p> <p>I do love the Thirsties double leg gusset but my flip has always fit her pretty well (6 months up). </p> <p>I think if I were doing covers and had to pick, I would choose a flip with snaps. I also LOVE my organic flip flat. I have some Thirsties covers already, and I'm debating whether I want to get some Flips too. If you used both, what did you like better? And since Flips are one sized, are those better once LO is past 10 pounds?</p> <p>Also, I'm wondering if you like the Flip inserts? I'm not sure if I want to use those, or tri-folded GMD prefolds. </p>
