They've gotten really popular over here, and there are truck rallies/gatherings all. the. time. There's one walking distance from my house every Wednesday. I do think some of them are a bit gimmicky (it seems to be a fad right now to turn any Asian food into a burrito), but some of them are really good. My favorite is a Chinese steamed bun truck. As far as eating from food trucks... I do like them, but only if I am going to be able to head back to my office to sit down and eat.
