for the first time ever, i was really content with my body right before i got pregnant. i feel a little bad that i'm going to lose it and maybe never get it back. i never understood why pregnant women cared about gaining weight, but now that i am, i completely understand. it is hard when it is out of your control.

Not really! I had a pretty small waist and I miss it so badly. I have always hated my legs, so I really just have to have everything covered (at least that's how I feel) and I'm over it.

I took pretty decent care of myself before I got pregnant and I am really looking forward to being more mobile and able to work out again. Of course, that may be wishful thinking since I'll be looking after a baby.

I looked freaking AWESOME before I was pregnant. Now, not so much! I don't look really different yet (almost 2nd tri), but I'm feeling bigger/softer. Not a happy place for pregnancy looks.

I'll be happy to reach the stage where I have an honest-to-goodness baby belly...and even happier to go back to my pre-baby level of fitness, and just feeling normal. I can't stand this constant fatigue and heaviness!

No. I feel hideous and my husband doesn't find me sexy when he can see my belly--that definitely doesn't help.
I have felt ugly since ... about 20 weeks?

I liked how I looked the first time I was pregnant, I started out happy with my weight and I only gained in my belly.
This second pregnancy, I started out 10-15 pounds heavier than my feel good weight...and my arms and face got fat in the first trimester. Then the thighs got large in the second trimester. Now in the third trimester, I just don't feel cute at all.

And I received a lot of complements with my first pregnancy from complete strangers! Yeah, this time--nothing!

@MsLipGloss: hehe. no problem. Oh, and as for myself: I've ALWAYS struggled with my weight but I lost everything but 5 lbs the first month with nursing! If I had worked at it I definitely could have lost that last 5 lbs and toned up pretty quickly. But I didn't. Hence the fact that I've always struggled with my weight ;)

Some days I liked how I looked pregnant, other days I hated it. I felt huge and gross most days towards the end, but looking back at my pictures now, I think I looked cute. Too bad I couldn't see that while I was pregnant. I've always thought pregnant women are adorable.

@mediagirl: lol right?? no sucking in!! :) post baby: elastic-waist jeggings and black leggings are your friend. :)

@MsLipGloss: I really hope this encourages you: one of my friends just had her first baby, and at their 100th day celebration she looked even BETTER than she did on her wedding day. She was wearing a SKINTIGHT little black dress, pearls, hair up, makeup flawless, 4 inch heels... her body looked AMAZING!!! She became a SAHM and walks with her baby and their dog (a boxer) every day, and she breastfeeds. So not only is it possible, but it ACTUALLY HAPPENED to someone I know-- looking better POST BABY than before!!!!

I love how the bump looks, but I've never been this heavy before in my life. I feel like a have multiple chins, tree trunk legs (and always loved my legs), fat arms, etc. My feet and fingers are swollen and puffy which blows. So, outside of the belly (and the boobs, which I've never had before either!) I would say I do not like how I look pregnant. It doesn't feel like it's my body, since it's so different from how my figure has always been. I miss my waist.

@MrsWagon: Thank you :) Today is just one of *those* days where everything is hard (for starters, I have cankles--at 24 weeks!--my legs are so swollen!), and I am just trying to get over myself already. And I think I am struggling with the idea of not getting me back, so I feel a little lost. I need to snap out of it!

I agree with my breasts looking "normal" sized due to my bigger belly, however a lot of times the empire waisted maternity tops still don't fit under the boob area. But I think I look cute with a baby belly and play it up :)

I kinda like it cause it's different and certain clothes just look cuter when you're pregnant. heehee. So far I've gained 12 lbs (mainly due to my GD diet) and it's all in my belly so that's kinda nice. I like wearing empire waist tops now (that never looked good on me before) and I like my bigger boobs. hehe

I liked mine once I got a bump, before that I was just bloated. I'm ready to be done with the extra weight that's sticking around for breastfeeding though. Something like 75% of women keep on an extra 10lbs when they're breastfeeding, but somehow I never knew this!

I only gained 23 lbs through pregnancy, and it pretty much all went to my bump. I thought my legs actually looked better than usual in proportion to the bump, so that was nice, and I think I actually lost weight in my face, weirdly. My upper arms didn't fare quite as well, but overall, yeah, I was pretty happy with how I looked.
