Our rabbi was preforming their ceremony so we were anxious to see what it would be like. I ended up running out at the end of their wedding in tears. The bride had to say a prayer before exchanging rings.... and the thought of me doing that (only in front of the 30 people invited to our ceremony) really freaked me out! Luckily our rabbi said it was ok to just have my hubby say the prayer because it's actually traditionally done that way, with the guy talking and not the girl.</p> <p>Today we went to the same couple's baby naming, and again our rabbi who will be doing our baby naming did the ceremony. And again, the mom had to say a prayer. This time it was both with the dad and by herself. And of course I freaked out. But we talked to the rabbi after the baby naming ceremony and he said that just like at the wedding, it's traditional for the guy to talk and not the girl, so I won't have to do that either. I got worried that we weren't going to be able to name our baby because of my stupid fear of public speaking!</p> <p>Do you like public speaking? Do you have to do it often.... or ever? </p>
