We have a king so after cuddling and snuggling, when it's actually time to sleep, we just roll off to our side haha. If it's cold, I like having him there because he's really warm. DH snores horribly, comes to bed super late, loves to be on his phone, etc. LO has been in our room since she was born and DH has taken to sleeping in the guest room so he doesn't wake her/keep us up. He wakes up and gets ready about two hours before I need to. He is so loud with the shower, shaving (electric razor), and water for brushing hus teeth. I have an eye mask so the lights don't bother me. But, the buzz and water gush are so annoying. I slept terribly during my pregnancy plus I snored a lot, so my husband mostly slept in the guest room. Now we have a 4-week-old, and we are still largely sleeping apart and trading off the baby. He wouldn't even consider it when our newborn was in the room and his snoring woke her up in the night. We ended up moving the baby out! So I like falling asleep alone (takes me longer than it does him) but like having him there at some point. My husband used to think keeping his ipod on shuffle all night was acceptable but I used to wake up to heavy metal or something else equally horrifying in the middle of the night. Like you, I'm an insanely light sleeper and he snores, tosses and turns, etc. Most nights he sleeps on the couch. It works for us.
