I didn't think that he would propose by the end of the year. Everyone in my family was freaking out around Christmas while I wasn't. So that was kept well. With LO, I really wanted to know boy vs. girl, so no surprise there. The biggest surprise I've ever gotten was my engagement-- my husband and I were on a trip, and I had actively talked myself out of the idea that we would get engaged while at our destination. (I didn't want to come back from an amazing trip with a crummy attitude because I didn't get a ring!)
