The negotiations weren't terrible, but the idiot sales person had 'forgotten' to replace a part and get it inspected before we picked it up and we've spent three weeks trying to get it straightened out because we live an hour and a half away from where we bought it. For our next one there was no negotiating; we were on a waiting list for the car! I will only negotiate online and then come in to buy. If they try to keep me there for hours, I'll walk out. I can't stand the sleasy salesmen and their tactics to try to get you to pay more...
