Especially showers! Anything cute with lots of personalized DIY details... I love love love. </p> <p>The very first shower I threw was a bridal shower for my then future SIL. I didn't know anyone and they were all friends and older than me. Her other bridesmaids took care of food and decorations, and I did the games. I bought a bunch of toy rings and hid them all around the house, and whoever was wearing the most rings by the end of the shower won a prize. For the prizes I bought little teddy bears and dressed them up with veils, bouquets, and pearl necklaces/earrings/rings. I thought the girls would think it was lame, but you should have seen them all racing around the house in their pretty outfits, knocking each other over to get to the rings! </p> <p>Then I bought hundreds of pink beads, all shades and shapes and sizes, and the stretchy clear thread and dumped them all out onto a table and let people make their own bracelets. Again, I thought they would think this was lame, but after they made their bracelets, they started making anklets, rings, and even things to attach to their cell phones. Girls stayed until dinnertime, like 3 hours after the shower was over, just making jewelry!
