But DH LOVES camping so we camp at least 3x/year. I'm kinda a wimp though and basically car camp. I don't think I could truly rough it without some sort of facilities. </p> <p>Every year some of his college friends arrange a camping/kayaking trip along the Delaware river and it's super fun! We always camped on the lake and went wake boarding and tubing. In the evenings my parents would grill all kinds of good food. I still like to camp, but I don't love it. Luckily because lo was only 3 months my parents got us a cabin so we were dry the entire time. But the 20 people we camp with were in tents and piled into our cabin the entire weekend.... until lo's bedtime when we kicked them out. Last time DH and I went we set up the tent in the pouring rain, peeing in the woods was no fun, and we were at the bottom of a hill so it felt like there was a river running directly under the tent while we slept. That particular time we were on the grounds of a lodge that cooked us meals, which was lucky because there was NO chance of making a fire to cook dinner for ourselves like we have in the past (or even using a camping stove). Love it so much that dh proposed to me on a camping trip because its one of my favorite things :) </p> <p>We go to fort wilderness in Disney every year, have since I was born. This year we'll be going twice, we already went once and I'll be going again to celebrate my 30th. We also like to check out different camp grounds in the area.</p> <p>We have weird traditions. We always go on a pj bike ride in the morning before we get dressed. We go to the pool, go for walks. Disney has tons to do, arts and crafts, a sing a long and movie every night outside. And we usually go during football season so we bring a tv or two to watch the games.</p> <p>For breakfast we do pancakes, eggs, I like turkey bacon, and someone makes the yummiest biscuits. For dinner hamburgers and hot dogs. It was BEAUTIFUL, Texas in the woods with a gorgeous lake. wonderful. And I would have been so fine without running water because we were only there for two nights, but I just happened to get my period that day!! OMG I was a wreck. our pastor was freaking out at us girls cause we wouldn't go in the woods, but really it was because I had to dispose of feminine products!! omg I was so embarrassed I was crying to my girl friends. They all stuck up for me and demanded that we drive off to find a bathroom - so they totally embarrassed themselves for me. What do you like to do while camping? favorites camp foods?</p> <p>I love to camp at this lake that is right on the border of Canada (BC) and eastern Washington. It is so warm and beautiful! I like to do watersports (we have a boat) and play cards by lantern light. Oh, and eat spaghetti!! </p>
