I actually hate Velcro, but so far like these diapers fairly well, almost 6mos in. They have the ability to fold the Velcro tabs against themselves for laundering them, so that's a bonus, but they do stick to LO's socks sometimes &amp; that always annoys me. I can't imagine this Velcro is going to wear out, but we'll see. I have replaced the hook and loop on our diapers, after having bought them used and using them heavily for over a year. But I sew so it wasn't a big deal. I find the hook and loop slightly more convenient, although at various times our kids have been so wiggly that it takes 10 minutes to get a diaper on no matter what style we use. My older LO is 2 now and he has never taken a diaper off. Velcro is awful! First, it makes the waistband really stiff and I never felt it fit as well. Second, once she was sitting the top part of the diaper would fold under and the velcro would scratch her belly. Third, she sorted out how to undo velcro pretty early.
