The other insullated cups I looked at were more complicated, or didn't disassemble fully for cleaning.<br /> It leaks when it is open and DS throws it or tips it upside down because there is no valve - just an open straw that water spills out of. The only time we ever have leaks is if the cap isn't screwed on right or the colored collar part isn't snapped all the way down- then it leaks a ton. Sometimes it can be a challenge to get the cap to screw on right and if you don't realize it, it will leak all over the place.
