I only put out a few at a time. Sometimes I leave a small basket of toys on the ground for her and she will pull out a few here and there. She mostly plays with her blocks, and a plastic salad spoon thing.

If I put every single toy LO has out in her room it would be a danger zone. Even with about 5 toys she falls all over them. She needs room to move around, walk, and explore without falling all over everything.

I give her maybe 5 toys at a time...she can't really pick up and play with them yet anyway, so it's me interacting with her and her toys so I try and focus on one toy for a bit before moving on to the next.

I also only offer a few at a time, wait 20 minutes and then see if he is bored and I'll swap something out. And I also will put toys away in our storage ottoman for a few days and then bring them back out - he forgets about them so it's like a new toy all over again!

I limit toys too. I usually offer 3 or 4 toys at the most. Whenever I give either of my kids too many toy choices, they go a little crazy! So yeah, I like to limit their toy choices to only a few things and I try to provide a variety of different ones. Like a hand/eye coordination toy, a texture toy, a puzzle and a book. And maybe a stuffed animal for my DD. :)

I do. I give her a selection like you do and let her choose what to play with. My husband sometimes forgets to give her toys. He will put her in her gated area when we get home and sit there with her...but she has nothing to play with! Hahah.

We built a little play pen area for LO now that she's crawling around. DH and my parents tend to throw all her toys in there. I usually just pick a few toys out of her box - usually something cuddly, something that rattles, a book, and her Leap Frog music table. I feel like giving her 20 toys means she only plays with each for like 3 seconds before moving onto another. I don't want her to get bored of her toys so quickly, and I feel like its kinda fostering ADD. Do you limit the # of toys you give LO?
