I moved for college etc, dh is from town four miles from here, we lived away for years together and moved home when my mum died. My dad couldn't live alone so we moved in. Our hometowns' are about 15 min apart so either will do. Both of our hometowns have great school districts. Only downside is that it's pretty pricey to buy a home there.
