@mrskc: My DD won't let me out of her sight!! It's kinda cute and I secretly love it. But it's exhausting holding her all night. She's a chubby wubby baby. And of course my son is whining that HE wants to be held just like his sister. There are a lot of times that I'm holding BOTH of them! Can you imagine? My son is 3 1/2!!! I can only do that for like 3 minutes though and then I put him down. And then of course he starts crying and complaining. Sorry...this actually happened last night so I'm venting a little. :)

Usually yes, she gets crabby when tired, so she's not fun to be around ;) I hate that it comes quickly but I don't like the alternative! ha

@banana: yep, exactly what happens with my LO. He will have a great day at daycare and be in a great mood for them. As soon as I get home, he clings to my leg and whines for me all evening. I can hardly even go to the bathroom!

@mrskc: YES! By the time I get home, my DD is super cranky and tired from being at daycare all day. So I get maybe an hour of quality time before she starts whining and crying from being tired. :(

Yep, I look forward to LO going to bed. Even though we see him awake for an hour or so after work, it's a very busy hour as well as worrying about what we'll eat, etc. I need a breather sometimes.

@Foodnerd81: So she woke up and he went to work? OMG. Even if she would've woken up on her own, I would've still blamed him for that! :) But seriously....how cute are babies when they first wake up???

@Foodnerd81: same here. I would love to say I look forward to her going to sleep but it just doesn't make a difference as I know she will be waking up soon anyway. There has been a couple of nights when I have just literally stayed up in the middle of the night and waited for her to wake up as I knew it would be within an hour.

Haha yes as a SAHM sometimes by the end of the day she is just one big crank! So then I'm ready for her to go to bed - which my husband usually handles. But then I do miss her during the night and check on her a few times. :)

Sometimes when I am really tired, I just want to be able to sit and not have to worry about what she is about to get into . . . but I miss her at night, as corny as that sounds. My heart aches a little every time I see her on the monitor.

@locavore_mama: I completely agree. Some nights DS is having a great time playing with me, I hand him over to DW for milk and then when we put him down, he's out like trout.

Other nights, it's like Wagner's Ring Cycle trying to get him to bed: it takes hours, there's a lot of crying, and everyone ends up tired all over.

I actually sometimes dread bedtime because I have no idea if it's going to be an easy or hard night. Ie tonight started at 7:20 it's now 8:30 and we're still working on it. Sigh.
