It usually goes: Me using it while sitting on the couch, put remote on top of the couch, I turn/get up to get P, remote falls, couch eats it, I forget about it. The cable and volume remote are either placed on the tv cabinet, sofa arm or the counter where we plug in our phones. I always leave the remotes facing up because the buttons are colorful making them easier to see. DH uses them and leaves the room. I don't get it. DH is a real stickler about them always being put either on the TV stand, side table, or even the middle of the floor.... just NOT on the couch b/c our couches eat everything! We have four: cable, volume, tv apps, dvd apps. In any given weekend all are used. The remotes are usually found in the couch, but never together. </p>
