I always thought that's what made it fun, but from this thread it seems that the people who enjoy it most are the ones who enjoy singing?</p> <p>DH's family *loves* karaoke. They're not the best of singers, so they do it for fun and all enjoy it. My family never does karaoke, but we all sing and we sing often. I remember we tried karaoke a couple times when other people brought their machines over for parties, but it never caught on. My parents had a machine growing up and just loved playing with the mike. I couldn't really sing their songs since I can't read all those Chinese characters and those were the only discs they bought.
