Then he began to tell me about his love for pho and how if he could eat one food for the rest of his life, it'd be pho. I'm Vietnamese and grew up in Little Saigon, so I had/have it ALL THE TIME. Tai chin nam gau. That's what I normally get (rare steak, brisket, flank steak, fatty brisket). I only get tendon depending on my mood (mmm soft and slippery!). And I get vinegar-ed onions and cooked bean sprouts on the side.</p> <p>Oxtail pho is so so so good, too.
