I thought I would love it more than I did. I hope I can appreciate it more if we have another baby. When Liam was a newborn, I was so tired and overwhelmed I had a hard time enjoying it. But there were definitely moments when I did!

I have honestly loved every stage. I loved the sleepy cuddles when she was a newborn, but now I love her laugh and that her personality is starting to come out at 4 months! I feel like I want her to stop growing, but at the same time can't wait to see what she'll do next.

@meredithNYC: That's what I'm hoping too. I'm hoping that going through it one time will make it easier the next. FTM newborn phase is like bringing an alien home. Eventually, the alien makes sense, but at first, it's something so foreign and different from the night before where there wasn't this little crying, hungry, wet/dirty being in your presence needing you for everything.

Yes! My LO is almost 2 months and has been such a great newborn. He is very portable right now too! That said, I am excited for neck / head control. Would love to throw him on my hip; my arms and back are tired of cradling so much.

Nope, it was miserable. Colic, BF issues, PPD, recovery from a traumatic birth. It was like a daily struggle just to keep myself going.

I loved the snuggling, the nursing, sleeping next to each other with him in the RNP and me on the couch, and time alone together. I didn't enjoy colic, constant changes, and very little sleep. I'm loving the 6-8 month stage so far. He verbalizes, laughs, rolls over, sleeps better. CIO was life changing for us.

Hated it. Colic, reflux, MSPI. DD didn't nap at all until she was 4 months old. No sleeping during the day and hardly any at night! I loved her but the first 4 months felt like a bad dream... The past month (6-7) has been such a joy!

Once I got out of the first week of baby blues & struggling with BF'ing, I totally loved it. She was so tiny & cuddly. Of course we've had both ups & downs, but I've really loved it all so far. I got myself an awesome little person. :)

I'm nervous about #2 though... I'm not sure how I'll juggle a toddler/preschooler + a newborn!

I do/did! She wasn't a particularly fussy baby so I don't think I had it that bad. I actually didn't mind sleep deprivation that much I think because people told me to expect it so much! I just want to cherish each moment now that she's so tiny. Every day it seems like she's growing with each nap!
