I spend a couple hours once a month peeling, cooking, food processing and freezing. It's really that simple and SO inexpensive! It's much cheaper than store bought (a lot more than I thought) and really isn't too time consuming. I make fresh batches of different foods every two weeks and have a continuous rotation in the freezer - at any given time I probably have about 3 weeks worth on hand. </p> <p>I agree with PP that immersion blender is the way to go for easy clean up!
