But I'm going for 11-1 because I think it makes the most sense for our immediate family and friends. And most likely aiming for Saturday but only because it's more convenient if my family does come up for the party. No one in our immediate circle are church goers. I don't think I've ever been invited to anything on a Sunday morning actually (and I've lived in the Northeast & Southwest, so, not the Bible Belt or anything). My church service is 10-12 and there are no options for other service times since we are a smaller church. So, overall, yes I'd skip the birthday party to go to church. They're always crabby at the evening one, and the other is at the same time as DD2's morning nap. He normally goes to 8am mass, so it's not often that things are scheduled that early anyway. We just scheduled LO's birthday party for 10-12 on Sunday and I'm concerned about this. I asked DCP if she had any idea who attends church but she didn't know. She said she would ask everyone. Eek. We usually attend 9 am mass and haven't been invited to anything that early. We did have a 10:30 Sunday party recently so we just went there right after mass. We did lo's 4th birthday this year on a Sunday 11-1 due to DH's schedule. We have one guest come late after Sunday school but they were not very late. I've seen a few times in birthday time posts people list that they have church Sunday morning so timing around that is preferable. If you go to church weekly (or very regularly) would you RSVP no to a birthday party if it was during the time you typically go for a religious service? Does it depend on how close you are to the birthday boy/girl? Just curious!.
