Totally. I need my time to just veg out in front of the computer/TV. It's usually once LO has gone to bed and before I tackle all the household chores.

My break is more after LO's bedtime. I have to quiet my brain a bit before I sleep.

Yep, but I do it after they are in bed. I either watch dvr'd shows, shop online, take a bath, hello bee, or sometimes eat dinner if I haven't had time to.

My wind down session comes when we actually lay down for bed. DH is usually out in 30 seconds and I spend about 30-45 minutes decompressing and checking my favorite forums.

Yes. We don't yet have kids but I clean the house and then run off to my errands, return and begin dinner then clean up after dinner. My husband works about 10h a day. At night, we HAVE to get into a PJs and watch some cable TV while sprawled out on the couch for like an hour. Then, we make our ways into conversation and other things to do for the night or to our showers. But we need that vegetation period....

If you work, sometimes it can be nice to zonk out and relax at the end of the day for half an hour or so. Or if you're a SAH parent, it can be nice to just take a quick break... and hand the LO off to your SO when they get home from work!

Mrs. Bee and I both focus on the kids for about 3-4 hours when we stop working... then we get to rest. A downside of having two working parents!

Do you need time to wind down at the end of the day? Do you or your SO take a quick break at the end of the day before entering the dinner/bath/bedtime stretch?
