I was horribly annoyed (and super stressed) during the first couple of months after my son was born about the incessant advice from people. And one person would tell me one thing, and then the very next person would tell me the complete opposite, and both would be convinced that if I didn't follow their advice, I was doing it wrong. There's a couple with a 3 month old or so going through colic and wake ups. They sound as inexperienced as we were in the early days. I've offered up our favorite books and tricks as advice. When I mentioned "Happiest Baby, " he was enlightened the same way we were.</p> <p>Also, I sought out advice in the early days from my brother whose a dad to three. Their help was so wonderful then. Even now, they still offer advice when we have a question. It's been one of the nice changes in my brother's and mine's relationship.
