They knock or ring the bell, and my 100lb dog proceeds to go nuts barking and jumping up against the door</p> <p>2. I open our big door, but leave the glass/screen door shut. I also make a show of holding my (usually still barking/growling) dog by her collar and telling her to sit/stay. </p> <p>3. I ask them if I can help them through the glass/screen, making it pretty clear that they aren't welcome</p> <p>4. I have a dog who barks a lot and puts on a big show. I think she's little and cute, but it makes most people back away from the door. He kept wanting to come inside and sit down so he could show me prices and such and I said no. He left-no biggie. The very next day the same man was arrested right in front of my house for breaking into my neighbor's house. Apparently, the police had been tailing him..
