We definitely go out for drinks with friends, and to game nights that involve booze, and DH will occasionally get wasteyface with his brother, but the days of drinking to excess are wayy over. A lot of our friends have children so if we do parties, BBQ, ect. they are early so 1) you can bring kids or 2) if you have a babysitter the night ends early enough to be home at a reasonable time. I enjoy having drinks with friends, but would rather spend time with LO! Alcohol gives me migraines, lack of sleep gives me migraines...... so staying up late and drinking never worked well for me. My friends were always all about it though. None of these friends have kids, and at 30 they're still going strong with the parties. </p> <p>My friend is pinning away for her Halloween party so I know there will be one and I know that since I have LO I won't be invited. Nor would I really want to be..... I look forward to Halloween with my family, going downtown for a trick or treating event, and then coming home to show LO off to all of our neighbors. But it still makes me a little sad to miss out on things with my friends. </p>
