No dues, because they really need volunteers. In a school of about 500 kids, only NINE parents showed up! We talked a bit about fundraisers, giving teachers duty free lunches and the spring carnival. Whether you actually volunteer is a different story. I just got the flyer home and there are lots of jobs that you could do. Such as run copies for teachers, help count boxtops for education, organize luncheons, judge science fair, etc. I think the meetings are helpful sometimes because they talk about what is happening in the school (I have not been to one yet though). DH volunteered for the book fair and was not only the only dad but the only parent from LO's class! And we were the only parents from her class to go to open house. Was it worth you carving out time from your family/busy schedule to attend? </p>
