It's not the best idea if you don't have access to an outlet. Using wifi on your phone or laptop uses a lot of battery life! I paid for daily unlimited use for work one time and my laptop battery died within an hour. Plane wifi FAIL!! And work productivity fail! One day we'll have outlets at our seats!
