I've been going in recently because he just started sleeping with a blanket, instead of a sleep sack. I like to cover him back up because the blanket always ends up in a ball at the edge of the crib!

Only when he's sick or it looks like the blanket needs to be adjusted. Other than that we just check the video monitor - his door creaks so much!

Nope! Not unless I need to. She's 7 months though and obviously doesn't use blankets so there is nothing to do/check. We do use an audio monitor.

NO WAYYYY!!! Our house is 110 years old ... the floors creak, and doors are so loud. I value my sleep way too much.

We have a sound monitor, which is good enough for me.

I will say though, with the next baby, I MIGHT get a video monitor for periodic checks. I am totally the mom who (still at 21 months) assumes she's died in her sleep if she's not awake by 7:30. That's so horrible to say, but I'm serious. I make DH go check on her in the mornings.
