Our house is 110 years old ... the floors creak, and doors are so loud. I value my sleep way too much. </p> <p>We have a sound monitor, which is good enough for me.</p> <p>I will say though, with the next baby, I MIGHT get a video monitor for periodic checks. I am totally the mom who (still at 21 months) assumes she's died in her sleep if she's not awake by 7:30. That's so horrible to say, but I'm serious. I make DH go check on her in the mornings. </p>
