We do a mix. I would really like to do more LO centered things though!

It's a good 50/50 mix. Ill take her to the city but we always find a playground to let her run around in. We try to just do fun family things on the weekend but of course chores like grocery shopping get thrown in there

she's 6 months old, so it's more what we want to do about 90% of the time (which is mostly being lazy), and 10% of the time, we find things for her (like a visit to the park)

When we just had one LO, it was a 50/50 split. Usually the mornings we'd go to a park or something geared towards him, and in the afternoon he'd tag along as we went to the mall or grocery store or ran errands, etc. Now that we have two, it's pretty kid-centric! Weekends are a million times more exhausting than weekdays!!!

S is only 5wks, so we generally do what we want to do and pop her in the car seat or Ergo and off we go. We do tend to plan for timings though, so we'll go straight after a feed, or try and be home for a feed etc. Naps we just try and wing it really, but she does sleep most places, so it's ok.

Usually we run errands together with LO over the weekend, and we try to drop by places that he enjoys (toy and book stores). With baby coming, we have been trying to squeeze as many activities as possible, including a big trip to the city. It's so much work sometimes but so worth it.

LO is super active, so we plan activities that will tire him out. That sounds awful, but we need to keep him busy. We take a lot of trips to the park, swim class, little gym class, etc. We also spend lots of time outdoors playing with our neighbors.

50/50 We plan stuff around her naps, like errands. And DH will wait to do yard work till Sunday if I need to be somewhere, sans R, on Saturday. Then we also try and do something with her every weekend.

My LO is still really young (3 months) so there isn't much she enjoys doing, specifically - but we do plan to spend as much time as possible entertaining her (which generally means playing on the mat at home or visiting relatives who will play with her). That said, we do go out for dinner sometimes and try to get chores done eg grocery shopping and that falls under "LO in tow" so I voted 50/50.

It's not so much that we do things specially for her (she's 12 weeks and can't exactly play it do activities) but we do things that won't be painful for us to do with her. Fancy dinner or crowded brunch? Not fun with our baby. Casual buffet brunch is fine- so not for her but with her in mind.

Or do you plan things that aren't necessarily geared towards LOs and just bring LO along?

We tend to plan the majority of our weekends around LO. When the weather was nice, we would head to a different park or street festival to explore the neighborhood and let LO play on the playground. Or we'd meet up with mommy friends and their DHs so our LOs could play. But we moved to a new city shortly after LO was born so many of our friends here are fellow parents we met through parenting related events. If we were still living on the east coast, I think the mix would be more like 50/50!
