Plus, they say during pregnancy you don't have to follow it (or so I heard) so I'll happily take that out this year. In fact we're going out to an amazing Cuban restaurant tonight where I will definitely be getting steak. I too really need more protein in my diet right now. I haven't been to church in a looong time, but I still like the idea of the tradition and sacrifice of Lent, and I do still consider myself Catholic, if I'm anything. I'm having a hard time articulating this, actually. When in fact she already knows and is okay with it, we regularly attend a different Christian religious service (where we were married and DD was baptized!)
