DH gave me GCs for my bday last year and I feel pressure to buy something. I still have money left on the Banana Republic card. I don't like what they have in store right now and am stuck.</p> <p>I don't want cash because it just feels like it's my money. Honestly, I think tangible gifts are super silly at this age and knowing full well the money comes from a communal pot I'd rather just buy it myself. </p> <p>Now, experiences we can share together are cool gifts.</p> <p>Edit: Call me Scrooge, but I don't want cash, gifts or gift cards from family either. I don't like exchanging gifts because I never get what I want. If I am buying it's going to be exactly what you ask for or the top of the line of whatever I pick out. When family buys (not DH) it's always low budget. Just keep your money and spend it on yourself.
