He did it to go to a better school, so it was worth it, but if quality of education is not an issue I would not recommend it.</p> <p>DS's zoned school is a 5 minute walk from our house and I am really excited about being so close. We already know a ton of kids in our neighborhood who will be in his grade. There is a charter school that is the next town over, but a lot of the kids that go there are from our town. If we're still living here, I'm going to try and get him in that one (lottery system).</p> <p>It's the same with daycare- near home is so nice.
