She is the queen of stupid nicknames though and I am her heir. So we are, at times, Mumilsy-wumilsy and Naisy Noodle Doodle Pumpkin Bear, among other less idiotic things. My kids will inherit the stupid nickname curse (they have some already despite not existing. Like Choco-Lottie and Lexy Bear.) When I asked her why, she said I'd be called Mommy and so she can be called Mama (she think's she's too young to be call a granny ... LOL). Thing is, kids call their parents "mamma" and "pappa" exclusively here. So yeh ... umm that's not gonna happen =) But honestly, I'm not sure which name I prefer. I'm actually leaning towards mommy. Once my daughter progressed from saying mama to mommy she has stuck with mommy. I imagine this will naturally progress to mom at some point. Although I have a few friends who still call their moms, mommy in their 30s.
