I love pho and the sandwiches and the cold noodle salads but I feel like there a bigger variety of Thai dishes for a nice dinner...I love all Thai nooodle dishes and I love all the different kinds of curry (especially green curry with chicken and lots of veggies). I'm a little biased though. I'm not familiar with all the Thai dishes so I go with the few I know.</p> <p>Being vietnames, I can go with beef pho or chicken pho. If I don't want that, I can go with vermicelli noodles with pork, shrimp, egg rolls or beef. If I don't want that I can go for a crab and tomato based (smaller type) noodle soup of Bun Rieu. Then there's appetizers of spring rolls or summer rolls.</p> <p>As for Thai, since I don't like spicy foods and prefer vegetarian dishes over meat. I go with a tofu stir fry or Tom yum noodle soup. Depending upon the restaurant, I might go for the pad Thai. The hot and sour soups are good. I've never really loved anything I've ordered at Vietnamese restaurants (though I've only been to a few) and would prefer going to my favorite Thai restaurant and getting some coconuty soup and curry. </p> <p>So I was just wondering if anyone else has a preference between the two and for those who love Vietnamese food please try to sell me on a dish. </p>
