My LO consistently drank 12oz a day until 9-10m and to get that, I'd have to pump 3x/day for 30 minutes and it was really hard to find the time for the 3rd pump session at work so the extra on the weekends was really nice! Sometimes I even got to freeze a bag!</p> <p>ETA I never pumped in lieu of nursing on the weekends, it was always in addition to nursing. It was the only way that I could keep up my supply. If you are having trouble keeping up your supply, you should probably add a pump session (as much as that sucks...and man, does pumping suck!).
