No, I try to keep a tight schedule because later bedtime for my 2 year old means earlier wake up and a hot grumpy whiny mess!

My 4 year old goes to bed later all year long and does fine but he has low sleep needs anyway.

Not unless we have a specific event going on (like a summer concert or outdoor movie or something). Otherwise bedtime is 8.

Not officially. We're more likely to push the boundaries to do some fun stuff. But he's still typically in bed by 7:30 (normal time is 7pm).
We have blackout curtains in his room so that the light outside doesn't matter.
By 7pm I'm done. It'll be a sad day for me when he gives up that early bedtime.

Probably not except in rare occasions...LO wakes up at the same early time even if she's up late

Lo has been pushing bedtime later and later lately via stall tactics and I think the fact that it's lighter in her room even with the blinds down might be why. We still have to wake up on weekdays at the same time so it's not good!

I would like to, but they still have to go to daycare every morning and I don't want them getting there too late (mainly because I have to get to work!). Maybe I would if we didn't have a set schedule. I contemplated taking them outside last night to watch the football game (Euro cup) because the restaurant just next door was playing it on screens outside and we could hear it, but then thought I it would be a nightmare getting them back inside (and I was soloing last night).

No... She naps relatively early so she'll be a mess if we do! Won't be watching fireworks or hanging out till sunset for a few more years, but I rather have a happy kid!

Bedtime is still 7:30 in the summer, unless we are out at a sports event or evening event (but that's the same all year long).

If we happen to be out on a Friday or Saturday and want to stay out late, we will. When she was younger we wouldn't, though. We stuck to the schedule. Since she is in daycare, we have to stick to it on school nights.

I didn't intentionally do this but the answer is yes. DD is 2.5 and bedtime was 730 pm. However with the sun staying out longer it's hard to wind down and get to bed by 730... sooo it's kind of lagged back to 745-815. I try to have her upstairs no later than 8 and then with brushing teeth and books it's 815 at the latest that she's down.

Yep. We don't really have a schedule and we stay late at the pool in the morning a lot so... lunch gets eaten at 2, nap is from 3-6 and then DD wants to stay up til 930. Oh well. She is getting plenty of sleep and we are having fun.

Nope - I love a routine. Plus, DH and I both work, so it doesn't really matter if it's summer or not.

Yes because we generally have no schedule. We still try and have them down by 9--the day goes by fast! Rarely are they able to stay awake past that.

Of course they are always up at 7 like clockwork--no matter what time they go down! Ugh!

My kids aren't involved in anything that requires a strict schedule (yet) aside from dance class Friday mornings, so I try to just go with the flow. With it staying late so much longer, I'm finding it harder to get my oldest into bed. We don't do any later than 7:30-8, though, because she gets into that overtired camp where she loses her mind. Never fun.

My 1.5 year old is the complete opposite of her sister at that age..bedtime changes nightly. I kind of hate it, honestly. I like routine!
