And sometimes, I just put them on him so I can feel like he got some use out of them. I'm too busy and just don't prioritize selling them or taking them to a thrift store. And I just feel too guilty if he doesn't wear them-- there are lots of parents who would love new clothes for their kids, so if we're going to keep them, might as well wear them and be grateful people cared enough to buy them. And anyhow, babies and toddlers can wear potato sacks and strangers will still coo at how adorable they are. Now that Charlie is getting older, it's so much more fun to dress him and there are so many options, that I don't really put clothes on him that I received as gifts and don't like.
