We don't go many places, honestly, but when I do I tuck their hands under their carseat blankets while we go from car to store. If we were going to be outside for a while and not in their car seats, I'd put them into these bunting things with built in hand cover things. We have some waterproof ones with fleece over the waterproof barrier. When she was a baby we used a down patagonia suit and it had mitten arms that could fold over her hands like mittens. She did chew on them occasionally but it wasn't a big deal. I didn't bother in the car since she always had blankets over her and the car is in a garage. (Our bunting was too thick for the car seat). Or I used the shower cap style car seat cover. </p> <p>This winter she likes her mittens! She holds out her hands for me to put them on. So cute. LO is 7mo and she doesn't have any.
