As long as I do think she's tired and she's happy, I keep her in there. I know she's not going to fall asleep if she's not in her crib, so I just let her be until she does.

I do that too. 1.5 hours is all LO can ever stay up between naps an not 1 minute longer. He is 7m. So, I would've done exactly what you did. Especially after shots!

I do it all the time. A's naps are different day to day, once he starts yawing and rubbing his eyes I lay him down, but somtiems he just plays for a while before actually sleeping!

I do it too. L's naps are all over the place too. So she is in her crib awake a lot.

Go for it! It's great that your LO can put himself to sleep.

I think it's totally fine! I will leave H in her crib sometimes when she first wakes up and is just content to lay there and chat with the birds on her mobile or stare at the monkeys on the wall next to her. I think it's good that they have some "alone" time, that they can play independently and not need entertainment from us, ykwim? At least, that's what I tell myself lol

I think it's fine if they are not crying! Sometimes I will try for an early nap but she'll start crying so I know that she really isn't ready. But if she doesn't cry, then I would let her be in the hopes that she falls asleep eventually.

Baby boy got his 6 month shots Friday and is cutting his first tooth and has been subsequently cranky (not that I blame him). After his third nap yesterday he was unhappy no matter what I did, so I let him hang out in his bath extra long, and put him in bed when he'd only been up for a little less than two hours. He chirped and rolled around in his crib for 45 minutes before falling asleep.

This morning he started yawning and laying listlessly after only being up for 1.5 hours so I finally put him down at 2 hours (he's normally up 2.5) and he is again, cooing and rolling around in his crib.

If he is happy/chill to be in there, that's ok right?? I just don't know what to do for this kid some days, his sleep is all over the place with length and timing :/
