Right now, I'm in the middle of Treasure Island and Around the World in 80 Days. (For me, not LO. And no, I don't teach high school English! ;) ) My favorite nonfiction authors are Simon Winchester and Alain de Botton. Those two are really excellent most of the time. (But everyone has duds, you know? I have so been craving a good novel lately, so I ordered two on Amazon yesterday. I'm an avid reader, I read mostly fiction, creative non-fiction (memoir), and poetry. For fiction right now I've been reading the "Bones" books. "Room" was really good, although it took a bit of time for me to get used to the voice of the young protagonist. Non-fiction reading--Wild. But the best non-fiction I've read in a long time was "Unbroken." I've made a decision to read more fiction, so that I can learn me some bigger words. I'd like for the kids to have a larger vocabulary than their dad... Do you read mostly fiction or non-fiction?
