Some of them had my tummy but most were just family pictures. We I'd take one of me and my husband with her name in the sand. I liked them but I do look back and see all my bulges and puffy face. I try to focus on the cute ones. My daughter nam I lill so I had the boys each hold one lilies. Those turned out super cute. I didn't o any with my twins and I Dont really regret it. We wanted to do more of a 'couples shoot' I guess - where I happened to be pregnant as well. I did some just of me for DH which he really likes and some silhouettes which I absolutely love. I really felt beautiful for much of my pregnancy and it was such a special time. Honestly, when it comes to pictures, it's not always about "what will I do with these once I have them done?". Sometimes it's just about documenting a really momentous time in the life of your family. One of the best pieces of advice I've ever gotten (from an older family member), is that when you're old and gray, you can't suddenly take pictures of yourself when you were younger. That time is gone. We took "maternity photos" but really it was more like taking family photos in which I happened to be pregnant. She did so some shots that were more just belly (clothed--we didn't do any bare skin business), and I wouldn't hang them in my house, but I might put them in a baby book or something. I would frame some of the regular shots, though. As soon as I get all the pics back, I'll do a post on the experience because I was sooo close to cancelling at the last minute, but I'm glad I went through with it.</p> <p>ETA: One of our friends is our go-to photographer, and she did our engagement and wedding photos, so I knew she would make me look better than I felt like I actually do during pregnancy. In fact, I try to edit out most of the photos that show me pregnant from our photo books just because I hate how I look pregnant (shallow, I know). I don't think my kids will miss it, considering I never asked my mom to show me pictures of her pregnant with me.</p> <p>Now as for the Newborn pictures, I do regret not having gotten some really nice newborn pictures of my son when he was born. My dad, who used to be a photographer, took some pictures when he was a few weeks old that I like a lot.
