DH will be the book reader in our family. He's got tons of voices and is a great reader. I prefer to read for my own enjoyment, not gonna lie!

i do not do that, but i think that's adorable. although we have a new book that has all these exotic animals in it, and i should figure out what noises they make. like a flamingo. what kind of noise does a flamingo make.

I improve as I read them. But I do tend to read them once through silently before reading it, otherwise I screw up the order of the words.

No, but that's a brilliant idea! I just read them and adjust my voice/style of reading the next time I read it.

That is the sweetest. I may try that once my LO is old neigh to actually pay attention to me through a whole book - these days he is running off long before I done :)

I have started reading books to E. She is only 4 months old but she does seem to enjoy it....

Today, we read Where the Wild Things Are and then started on Room on the Broom but she started showing sleepy signs so I put her down for her nap after the first few pages.... and smuggled the book out with me to practice while she is sleeping! I'm such a spanner! But there are lots of characters in the book and I want to practice different voices/accents for them.....! (face. palm).

Come on, admit it!! Someone else must rehearse books before reading them.....!
