I don't know if I can recall specific random facts learned in HS. I think that has to do with the individual persons memory and how well they are at trivia type things. I look at is as more as a base that I built. Just because I can't remember specific facts doesn't mean that I could have just skipped HS all together and moved straight to college... All of my Latin and French are from HS because I never took those again. Trig didn't stick, but geometry did. Oh yeah my literature from the American South class was better than any college English class I took! I have a horrible memory so I probably can't tell you exactly what I learned in high school. Until my 4 year old started asking questions about things she learns about in preschool: dinosaurs, plants, why the ocean is salty, stars/constellations, recycling... My teacher was super animated about the Russian Revolution. The Cossacks Are Coming!! Not sure how much relevance that has in my daily life but it stuck haha Generally, I think most of what we learnt in high school seeped into my brain somewhere, a lot of it forgotten or supressed. I can't remember anything about algebra or chemistry formulas, but some pops up as random trivia. I didn't care so much about education until I was an adult, on my own, and paying for my own education. I have learned so much in college the last two years because I really care about it now. Mostly just really basic math and physics formulae, and a little bit of history. Makes me wonder what the point of high school really was!
