We replaced 2 out of the 3 toilets in the house, and we don't use the 3rd one that often since it's the guest bathroom, but I'm thinking I want to now! Haha... We had some neighbors knock on our door to see what was making such a horrible smell. Good thing we did all the necessary steps and cleared it with our management company first! Four months later and it still smells a little, especially after two hot showers in a row. If I had known how bad it was going to be, I would have waited until the springtime to do it and planned on spending the weekend at my parents house in addition to warning my neighbors ahead of time! We had to leave for hours cause we didn't want me smelling it pregnant. There is no way for us to get tubs out of the condo either. The tub is actually built into the building so reglazing is the only way to upgrade. I never replaced the toilet seats as a renter, but I did recently as an owner. It's one of the first things we bought at HD actually. Slam proof seat are one of the best inventions ever! There is multiple steps but it is easy to do. When we move into our house though we will be replacing both toilet seats, for my own peace of mind...the family was not very up with the house cleaning, so it gives me the heebies!
