I go with the flow (and consult my sister, who has 3 kids and friends who have kids just a little older than my son). I did do a lot of research on sleep when things fell apart around 3.5 months.

I like researching things before I need them, and applying the information in a way that works for us. (Reading sleep books while still pregnant, etc.)

I go with the flow but I always have Super Nanny guiding me in the back of my head hahahaha. I actually research and read more with my second than I did with my first.

I go with the flow. I figure people have been parenting forever without research and books, so I can prob just go with it. I kind of just do what feels natural and works for us. Funny thing is, I over-research everything else lol.

I research because I like to know my options and make an educated decision, but then I always stick to my gut decision. Like with sleep I researched sleep training, but we didn't go that route.

I research like crazy...until I'm about to lose it... but at the end of the day...I still have to make the call since everyone says something different. I just realized my biggest go-to parenting tips I learned from my brother's experience....not text research. My husband usually just lets it flow and asks me what I researched so he can incorporate it in his repartoire. He still likes the research when it comes to trouble spots. He's just unwilling to do it.

When it comes to parenting, I like to go with my gut and not overthink things. But when that fails (ha), I usually end up doing a ton of research.

But I've learned the hard way not to talk too much about it. I have friends who look at me like crazy if I mention various books I've read on a subject. I start to feel bad, like I've overthought something that should come naturally. Maybe I have? I don't know any more.
