Yes. I've done consignments sales where I get 65% of the sale's price, but they are a lot of work (tagging, drop off, picking up items that don't sell)... the main reason I do it is so I can get early access to the sale as a consignor. I did make about $85 at the last one though after spending about 1-2 hrs prepping/tagging, so not horrible. :)

More frequently, I consign to a local consignment store. It's very easy, I just drop off clothing or toys and I get 50% when they sell. I don't drop off anything too valuable (I sell most Tea, Boden, J&J, etc. via FB), so if it never sells, I let them donate it.

I've never done Kid-to-kid...they seem picky about what they accept and their payout is very low (although it is immediate).

For adult clothing, I've used ThredUp and been happy. They send you a bag, you fill it and send it back with free shipping and then they list everything and give you a small percentage.

I did clothing recently, it was a waste of time. I got $10 for a bag full of stuff, that I'm sure they turned around and charged at least $10 an item (based on what they were charging for stuff already out). I decided from that moment on, I would donate it no mater the brand of clothing.

I do kids consignment sales. The shops here aren't awesome and I would normally go home with a lot of stuff. I prefer to spend the time to print price tags, tag the items, hang them up and take them all at once to the big consignment sale where I can cross my fingers that they all sell! As long as I price things to sell and there are no stains, I can sell almost everything.

Yep! I do two or three a year! I agree that it is a lot of work but the one I do has really high quality items so it is worth it for me.

I just recently started doing this. I usually try and sell on my FB sale sites or give to friends and use consignment shops as a last resort. It's just a pain to lug it all there and I'm stuck with stuff afterwards anyway. It's not bad for quick cash, although it's usually not as much as I could get elsewhere.
