I did for my wedding and for my bachelorette. I have the tendency to write extremely long thank you letters. I will write them in the future as well. If a friend treated us to dinner or something similar, I always send them a heart felt thank you text.

I do! I know it peeves me when I don't get a Thank You card for something like a baby shower or wedding shower/gift.

I do, although I know a lot of people don't anymore. I heard second-hand though that the IL's friends felt really valued when they received one after our wedding. The way I see it, it doesn't take that much effort and it makes the gifter feel appreciated... Why not?

I do! If they are immediate family, I just express my gratitude verbally, though.

I always send a thank you note for gifts from grandparents/aunts/uncles/cousins, etc. I don't send it for people who gave me a gift in person, like parents, siblings, friends. If someone sent me a gift though, I would definitely send a thank you note.

Always. I got a little behind as DS was born but they all went out eventually. I ended up putting many in the same envelope with the birth announcement to save on postage. My mom, MIL, and I all agreed this was ok (and trust me, those two are sticklers for ettiquette!).

Always. I always get the "no one sends them anymore" comments, too!

I write a nice, usually semi-long unique message in each.

always! I love SincerelyInk's app. I'll snap a photo of DS with the gift and make a quick thank you on there to send. I don't have to worry about picking out a card, handwriting it out (you type your personal message still) and postage. Saves a lot of time and they're beautiful!

Yes, constantly. I didn't until a few years ago, though. DH's grandmother is a huge stickler for them, and she was constantly sending us things so I got into the habit.

One of my mom's coworkers (who I've never met) sent us a baby gift, and I sent her a thank you card. She told my mom she couldn't believe I had taken the time to write out a thank you card by hand, because "no one does that anymore". I was like "well, you sent a baby gift to someone you've never met, who does that?"

I try and send out thank you cards as much as I can. We sent them for our wedding, baby showers, and we even send them for things like people doing us a favor. I've been slacking a bit since LO was born. I didn't send out as many as I should have for the gifts we received after she was born. I vow to get back on track though! I think expressing thanks is very important. I have received maybe 3 thank you notes from others in my entire life, and even verbal thank you's (which go a long way), are becoming rare in my life from others.
