She never learned how to sew much beyond hand sewing a button back on or using the machine to sew a straight line. I would love to learn how to sew and wish I had been interested when my grandma was alive so she could teach me since she always wanted me to learn. I can do basic stuff like patch holes with needle and thread. I'm not skilled enough to make my own clothing and probably never will be. I admit that I didn't do too well in sewing part of our Home Ec. class.</p> <p>I hoping to get a simple sewing machine to repair hems if I have to. She still has her old sewing machine, but I never learned how to use it.
