No, I kind of miss it! We have these shutters on the outside of our windows and they keep ALL the light out.

The last time my parents visited here, I got worried (this is terrible) that they had died in their sleep or something because they slept til like 10am! I think they would have slept longer if I didn't go in and wake them. Very strange b/c my dad is usually up at 4am! But to be fair I suppose they were still tired from traveling.

Maybe once spring fully arrives I'll crack the shutters and let the light in in the am :)

Yes, we get lots of sun and I love it... except I usually get up before the sun is out anyways. ugh.

Yup! Almost an entire wall in our master bedroom is windows so once the sun starts rising, you know it! DH hates it. We haven't gotten around to getting blinds or curtains, but I don't feel like it's necessary since DS wakes up early anyhow.

Our windows face east so we do get the morning sun. However, our bed is directly under the window so we don't get it directly on our faces. We have blackout shades that we keep open otherwise it would be tomb and we wouldn't be able to wake up.

Our bedroom's a cave. Just how I like it! If we didn't have blackout curtains I'd have the sun wake me up at 3:30 am during the summer!

I don't like sleeping with blinds or curtains that shut the light out totally, I like waking up naturally to light. When I was growing up my dad would always come in and close my blinds at night before bed and I'd end up reopening them so that a little light would come through. Now LO dictates my wake up time totally so it really doesn't matter since she's often up while it's still dark, haha

Yes, our bedroom windows face east so it lights up in the morning really nicely. Right now I'm up before the sun each day, though.

We have plantation shutters in the bedrooms, so I can tell when its bright out, but can also sleep in if I get the chance to!

I prefer morning light, but have gone without it. I need to know that it's morning.

Our room gets morning light but our house is positioned at an angle to the sunrise so it's not straight in the windows if that makes sense. We have white curtains up that are closed and they let enough light filter in to know it's morning but it's not blinding light so pretty ideal in my opinion.

We have curtains that get light through. I fell asleep in the basement last night and woke up an hour later but I went to bed later too. My body just wakes itself up after 7 hours

I do, and wake up with the sunlight every day. It's supposed to be good sleep hygiene, but I hate it!

When I sleep in a room with blackout shades (like my daughter's), I'm able to sleep in at least an extra hour. In a perfect world, I'd wake up to the sun on weekdays and have blackout shades on weekends!

Do you sleep in a room that gets bright in the morning?
